Celebrating 20 Years of Service
An Open Letter To Baltimore Business
Suited to Succeed’s Board of Directors invites Baltimore companies to celebrate in local philanthropy by becoming a Corporate Sponsor during our 20th Anniversary Giving Campaign. Based in Baltimore, Maryland since its inception in 1997, Suited to Succeed is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Suited to Succeed aims to improve the economic independence of women experiencing hardship by providing professional attire, career development and life skills training, networks of support and tools to help them to become successful in life.
Suited to Succeed is a small, neighborhood organization doing big work. From serving just 60 women our first year, Suited to Succeed can proudly say, over the past two decades, we’ve supported over 12,000 women. This nonprofit has worked tirelessly to build lasting relationships with Baltimore dignitaries, outreach programs, and our clients. While we’ve established partnerships with some of Baltimore’s standout organizations, Goodwill Industries, Stratford University, Maryland Center for Veteran’s Education and Training (MCVET), we’re looking to engage and assist more groups.
The nonprofit world is competitive and Suited to Succeed relies on local businesses and community members to help keep our organization running. We’re not an affiliate program backed by global brand recognition. Increasing operating expenses has put financial strain on Suited to Succeed and we’re in dire need of your support to keep our doors open.
We need your help. This year, our 20th year, Suited to Succeed has a goal of reaching $88,668 in Corporate Sponsorship. This number represents our 2017 operating and program office expenses. In 2016, Suited to Succeed assisted 1,150 women; together, we can increase this impact and bring positive encouragement to our city.
Any sponsorship awarded during our 20th Anniversary Giving Campaign will help Suited to Succeed remain one of Maryland’s premiere nonprofit organizations empowering women experiencing economic hardship. On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, and the growing number of Baltimore area women who benefit year after year, Thank You for your generous support of our organization.
