Carolyn Blakeney began her public service career in 1985 for a United States Congressman and has worked in a position of leadership for a City Councilman, a State Delegate, a Mayor and two City Council Presidents. She has over 20 years of management experience in the public and private sectors and has built a diverse tool kit of skills to help the business community navigate government bureaucracy, provide advice and counsel to elected leaders and develop management systems that create efficiencies in office operations.

Ms. Blakeney currently holds the position of Chief of Staff for the Baltimore City Council President where she is charged with strategically coordinating internal and external resources to implement the President’s vision for the citizens of Baltimore. Ms. Blakeney is a native Baltimorean, a Western High School graduate, and a graduate of the University of MD, College Park.
