Inez Franklin is the President and Founder of the Davon Green-Franklin Foundation, with the responsibilities of organizing committee meetings, functions and special events. Her work at the foundation requires that she juggles a myriad of assignments including: Coordinator and developer of the “Surviving Spring Break- 101” program, “Turning Tragedy into Triumph” initiative, and the Davon Green Franklin Legacy Award & Scholarship team.
Inez and Chavez Franklin launched the Davon Green – Franklin Foundation in 2010, when her only child Davon Green-Franklin died while on spring break in Cancun, Mexico.
Inez Franklin received her childcare certification from Coppin University and is an alumnus of the Community College of Baltimore County – Catonsville. She is also employed at Baltimore County Public Schools and works in the area of special education. In 2011, she and her husband received the “Dream” award from the Dream Foundation for their advocacy efforts. Inez Franklin is a former Board of Director for Educational Support Staff of Baltimore, County and is a current Board of Director for Suited to Succeed in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2015, Inez Franklin became a Certified Tourism Ambassador.
